TCM: How long have you been in Clarksville? What originally brought you here?

We touched down in Clarksville in December of 2012. We got stationed here through my husband Evan’s work with the 5th Special Forces Group. We love Clarksville!

TCM: It doesn’t take long to discover that you’re passionate about infrared sauna and floating and how they can revolutionize health. Can you tell us a bit more about where your personal journey began with sauna and float therapy and how it developed into the passion that drives you today?

Shortly after my daughter was born in September 2017, I became pretty sick and was on a mission to figure out why, after receiving several misdiagnoses.

After nearly two years of suffering and lots of research and doctor visits, we figured out that it was my breast implants that were making me sick. In November of 2019, I had my breast implants removed, and began my healing journey.

A significant part of my healing journey began when I started using Infrared saunas. I was told by several BII (breast implant illness) survivors and health care providers to use infrared saunas, but there weren’t any in the Clarksville area at that time.

I started driving to Pure Sweat + Float Studio in Belle Meade to use their saunas. By the fourth session, a significant amount of joint pain went away, and my Hashimoto’s symptoms declined significantly.

I then tried flotation therapy, which helped with my insomnia, racing thoughts, joint pain, and stress levels. I knew that this is what I wanted to bring to my Clarksville community!

TCM: Starting a business at any time is hard, but it’s been particularly tough times over the past couple of years with the pandemic and such. What has been the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome with starting PSFS Clarksville and how did it help you grow personally and professionally?

I never really worried too much about the success of the business prior to opening, because I saw how successful the other PS+FS locations are, and it was an integral part of my personal testimony of healing. So I know it works!

The biggest challenges that I faced were staffing issues, post-covid. People got used to being at home and our society’s priorities have changed, making home life and family a priority. This is all good stuff but can be challenging when finding people to work a full week in a small business.

I have learned to be less rigid, keep an open mind about what a staffing schedule should look like, and not compare our studio to the ones in bigger cities, where work life is more competitive than in Clarksville.

We have a great staff that believes in what I do, it just took a hot minute to get there.

TCM: What would you say to the person who isn’t quite sure what to think about all this “floating and sauna stuff”? What should they understand and why should they seriously consider giving it a shot?

Well, I would start by showing them my before and after pics and my personal testimony of healing. That speaks for itself.

Infrared is the hottest item on the market right now and is even used to safely keep babies warm in the NICU. As we evolve, we need to keep an open mind.

For people that have tried to heal through traditional means and haven’t had success… what do you have to lose?

Other countries have used sweating as part of their daily routine for years and the results are fantastic. Don’t you feel better after a good sweat? It is our body’s natural way of ridding itself of toxins and losing weight. It speaks for itself.

The good news with sauna therapy is you don’t have to hurt your joints either, like with strenuous exercise. You literally can sit or lay or stretch and just sweat out the bad stuff.

Floating is comparable to the Dead Sea. People also talk about taking an Epsom salt bath for different reasons. Well, this is the same thing but with 1200 lbs of Epsom salt.

Navy Seals and professional athletes are just some of the folks using these floats. It is the only time that you don’t have pressure on your joints. You also get a ton of magnesium and you are forced to be away from your phone.

Mind-Body-Spirit. How could this hurt?

Plus we have a Deluxe Float so you can bond with a loved one while doing something healthy. (and fun)

TCM: What conditions or health challenges can be improved or alleviated with infrared sauna and/or float therapy? Would you mind sharing some stories or testimonials that you’ve received from customers or friends?

Infrared saunas can: alleviate joint pain, detox the body, improve circulation, lower blood pressure, improve skin conditions, treat seasonal depression, burn calories, improve autoimmune symptoms, and much more.

Through the power of weightlessness, total stillness, and over 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt water, Float Therapy provides one of the most progressive and effective healing forces for the mind, body, and spirit.

By floating, you also get your dose of magnesium, which most Americans are deficient in. Float Therapy was originally created by veterans to treat PTSD, among other things. It is also incredible for women who are pregnant and anyone that has pain, due to the lack of pressure on their joints that floating provides.

Floating allows you to work through issues in a gentle way while learning how to quiet your mind in order to hear your inner voice. It is pretty special!

TCM: Is there anything else you’d like to share with us that you’ve got going on? (goals for the future, changes/updates or promotions coming, products/services info, etc)

My goal is to open another studio near the Fort Campbell military post that will include a cold plunge and ultra hot saunas.

Our holiday season is filled with promotions and different small businesses to be featured almost every Saturday of the month! It is so exciting and I can’t thank the Clarksville Community enough!

Thank you again for the featured interview Jordan! I am so grateful for people like you, that care about the people in our community.
